Welcome to Tà Chơ — The Most Remote H’mong Village in Vietnam

This is not a tour. This is real life. You will live inside a traditional H’mong family home in a village so remote that most Vietnamese people have never been here.

No tourist groups. No schedules. Just you, the mountains, and a family who will welcome you like one of their own.

Daily Life & Local Work

Life starts at sunrise. You’ll join the family in their daily rhythm:

  • Feeding pigs, chickens, and water buffalo
  • Working the terraced rice fields or corn plots
  • Collecting firewood and carrying water from the mountain spring
  • Harvesting hemp and helping weave traditional H’mong clothing
  • Making corn wine (rượu ngô) or rice wine with the grandfather
  • Helping repair the earthen walls of the house

Every day is different. Every day you are truly part of the family.

Food — Authentic Mountain Meals Cooked Over Wood Fire

All meals are prepared fresh by the grandmother and mother. Simple, delicious, and 100% local:

  • Wild mountain vegetables and herbs foraged daily
  • Free-range chicken, duck, or pork raised in the village
  • Fresh honey collected from forest bees
  • Homemade corn wine shared from a communal jar

Vegetarian, vegan, or any dietary needs? Just tell us — the family will adapt.

Homestay & Amenities (Honest & Real)

You sleep in the family’s traditional earthen or wooden stilt house on clean mattresses with warm blankets and mosquito nets.

What you have:

  • Clean Western-style squat toilet
  • Bucket shower (hot water heated on the fire)
  • Electricity (solar + generator backup)
  • Strong 4G signal & Wi-Fi in common area
  • Warm family atmosphere

What you don’t have: hot running shower, air-con, private bathroom — this is authentic village life.

Why This Matters

10% of your payment goes directly to the community as donation. You’re not just a guest — you’re helping preserve a way of life that’s disappearing fast. Children go to school longer. Houses get stronger roofs. Elders smile more.

This is responsible travel at its purest.
